Child, Youth & Family

Child & Youth Counselling

Our trained counsellors provide free, confidential, community-based mental-health counselling for children, youth and whole families. We use a strengths-based and non-judgmental approach to address issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, school challenges, behaviour issues, and drug and alcohol use. We can help with parenting strategies and help families when children struggle with small or big life transitions, from school challenges to separation, divorce and co-parenting.

We can help you connect with more specialized services in the Comox Valley and beyond if needed.

To connect with our Child and Youth Counsellors, please leave a message at our confidential voicemail at (250) 898-0247 or email Mike or email Stacey.

Youth Outreach

Connecting with Island Youth. Our Youth Outreach staff connect with local youth to provide free, confidential, and community-based one-to-one support and information on healthy relationships and lifestyles. We work from a non-judgmental and harm-reduction approach. Our youth programs and services are a positive and supportive space for LGBTQ2SIA+ youth.

Our Youth Outreach workers facilitate youth groups and summer camps, attend Teen Night Drop-Ins, and organize youth workshops and community education events throughout the year. We work towards ending youth sexual harm, harassment, and exploitation in our communities. We can help connect islanders with Foundry Comox Valley, Courtenay's youth hub for health and mental health, and other services and support.

To reach our Youth Outreach worker, please call or text (250) 443-1658 or email Sara.
